Growing up in a trilingual household, my parents and I would communicate in Thai, Japanese and English. Sometimes, the sentence would not just include one language but a mixture of three langauges.

The souvenir was inspired by how languages can intersect and overlap by using plexiglass that the audience can interact with. The plexi glass is divded into two systems: orange represents mother languages, while white represents foreign languages. The audience are encouraged to play with the souvenir to create their own sculpture.
